BACKGROUND

The customer, a state agency responsible for park management and maintenance, was using spreadsheets to manage its stockroom inventory. Stockrooms are used by both facilities and craft teams, primarily for janitorial assets and supplies, as well as items generally used for maintenance-repair-operational (MRO) related work.

Inventory for the stockroom is received by multiple vendors and stored on receipt. Items are picked from the stockroom as needed and reordered when inventory levels indicate the demand.
