Our Approach

A Barcoding solution is never just a piece of hardware: This is the heart of Barcoding’s Process, People, Technology (PPT) philosophy.

First, we work to understand our clients’ businesses—their workflows, people, cultures, and goals—and then we discuss the types of technology available to fit their needs.

Today’s Video
In this #SupplyChainGeekDay session, Jay Steinmetz, CEO of Barcoding, Inc., revealed that the 2020 recipient of our Innovator of the Year award is Schneider National! We spoke with Pat Krah and Carol Gulickson of Schneider National on the steps they take to be more efficient, accurate and connected every day.

About Schneider National
Schneider National is a premier provider of transportation and logistics services, serving customers for over 80 years. They provide a variety of services including regional and long haul truck loads, brokerage, supply chain management, port logistics and more.

Innovation Despite Disruption
It’s no secret that this year, businesses worldwide faced unprecedented difficulties and slow-downs as a result of the pandemic. Schneider National demonstrated exceptional effort to help keep the supply chain moving. By leveraging their partnership with Barcoding, the IT and operational teams at Schneider National adapted quickly and efficiently to changing demand.

“In this highly disruptive year, Schneider National has risen to the challenge and delivered for communities around the country throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Steinmetz.

The teams at Schneider implemented Zebra Technologies mobile devices to run multiple applications over 15 hubs. The Barcoding GoLive Services team helped Schneider beta test the hardware, as well as pair it with Ivanti Wavelink software.

“We are honored to win the 2020 Barcoding Innovator of the Year award,” said Pat Krah, Schneider’s vice president of technology infrastructure. “This year has pushed and stretched our industry in significant ways and we’re proud of how our teams have risen to the challenge and developed creative solutions. Through our partnership with Barcoding, we look forward to more years of growth and innovation.”

Congratulations to the teams at Schneider National!
