Our Approach

A Barcoding solution is never just a piece of hardware: This is the heart of Barcoding’s Process, People, Technology (PPT) philosophy.

First, we work to understand our clients’ businesses—their workflows, people, cultures, and goals—and then we discuss the types of technology available to fit their needs.

Our Partner Network

Barcoding, Inc. is a premier partner with the best manufacturers and software providers in the automated data capture, mobility, and supply chain spaces. Because of our strong relationships, our clients have access to high-level resources at our partners’ organizations—from the executive teams to sales, engineers, and support.

Recently, our president, Shane Snyder, our CTO, Martin Jack, and our VP of marketing, Jody Costa, sat down to talk about the future of Barcoding, Inc. and our enterprise platform IntelliTrack® and how we can continue to provide value to organizations of all sizes. Here’s an overview of the discussion, and a link at the end to the recording so you can hear for yourself!

Introduction

The team at Barcoding has learned a lot over the last 20+ years developing, deploying, and supporting solutions to help our customers stay efficient, accurate, and connected. Now we're taking all we’ve learned and rolling it up into a robust new technology: IntelliTrack.

What IntelliTrack® Will Do For Our Customers

The discussion started by talking about the strategic investments Barcoding is making to be the best partner for our customers:

  • The investment we're making in the IntelliTrack platform is an extension of the investments we've made over the last 10+ years, and of the three platforms that track assets. We've made a strategic decision to consolidate the best features and functionality of all three into one enterprise platform. With IntelliTrack, you’ll be able to track IT assets, fixed assets, consumable inventory, and rotational assets all from within one platform.
  • The platform is agnostic; so you can track any type of asset from any manufacturer on any type of device.
  • There are thousands and thousands of individual assets to keep track of...and billions—maybe trillions—of data points to track, because your assets are essentially collecting data all day long. IntelliTrack collects them all and aggregates them all into a single platform.
  • The platform also tracks IT assets and the people using those types of tools. You’ll be able to look at a device and tell how many times it's been dropped and how often it’s being used, among many other things. Whether you’re a daily user and need to submit RMAs or at the director level and need to run monthly reporting, all the data will be in one place.
  • Every company that's in business today has already made substantial investments in software platforms. Our goal with IntelliTrack is not to replace those necessarily; our goal with this is to add value to those investments.

The Value of Data

  • Reports are great, but unless you do something with that data, it won’t affect your business. With one secure platform, you can be confident that you have what you need to make the right decisions to improve your business, whether that's driving greater efficiency, driving greater customer responsiveness, driving greater transparency to your customers, etc.

What Does it Mean To Be Connected?

  • We’ve built a platform that intertwines workflows, exposing all of the data that's in the platform to your web services. That allows other platforms to consume the data in your platform, and you can consume our platform’s data as well. Plus, it’s all done in real time—no lag in syncing data.
"As people start to use the platform...as they start to build and consume data...who knows what they are going to come up with and how they are going to be able to drive their own organizations forward."

Security

  • We’ve worked with an independent organization to recreate penetration testing to ensure that what we've developed is secure. In addition, we’ve partnered with a cloud infrastructure company that's already set up to comply; this allows us to build a platform that's even more secure.

What’s Next?

  • We’re developing a customer advocacy group within the Barcoding pipeline that includes end-user customers and our OEM partners. Their input will help guide continuous improvements to the tool, and our bias will be for the things that make the biggest impact on their business.
  • The platform will also evolve as technologies shift, markets shift, customer demands shift...and all of those will drive future development.
