Beginning of OS
Since the dawn of its inception, Microsoft’s offerings for operating systems were the only choice for customers. With Windows CE and Windows Mobile (later named Windows Embedded Handheld), customers could utilize the features and capabilities needed for enterprise development. In addition, developer tools and third-party offerings allowed customers to create the solution needed to effectively operate and manage their businesses.
When Apple released their first iPhone in 2007, Android (acquired by Google a few years earlier) didn’t have a phone of their own on the market.
