Welcome to another installment of our new series, “Modern & Mobile Mondays!” Every week we are sharing a new way to help your business stay connected and on-the-go. Today, we are excited to be featuring our partner Zebra Technologies. Learn more about our partnerships with Zebra here.
The Supply Chain Statistics of Shopping
Whether consumers opt for a brick-and-mortar storefront or make purchases online, the supply chain of shopping is constantly evolving. For 12 years, Zebra has conducted a survey with over 6,200 respondents to analyze just how both shoppers and retailers are making decisions.
In particular, the survey revealed the ways that mobile technology is changing the shopping landscape both in-store and online. In-store, 65% of shoppers believe that associates using handheld computers with built-in scanners can improve the shopping experience, and associates agree. Employees at retail locations note that mobile devices can help them find correct prices, answer customer questions and save customers’ time.
Online shopping poses a different set of challenges and opportunities for convenience. 75% of retail executives agree managing returns of online orders is a significant challenge. Supply chain solutions like returns management technologies can help ease this burden.
