Happy Thursday! It’s almost the end of the week, so it’s time for another Video of the Week! In this series, we are share a video with the latest exciting updates on all things supply chain. Today’s video features two of our partners, Zebra Technologies and IVANTI Wavelink. Keep reading to learn more about modernization through Android:

Why Android?
Over the next 5 years, Android will more than likely be the primary OS in the enterprise mobile computing space. Can your existing workflow management system move from Windows to Android? It might seem daunting to make the switch from existing systems, but there are countless benefits to running Android OS.

Migration Leads to Modernization
One key benefit is that migration leads to modernization. During the process of migration, you are able to update older legacy systems and processes to maximize efficiency. You can remove or change outdated and inefficient steps in your workflow and move faster through each task.

Additionally, migrating to Android can also make device operation on an individual level more efficient and accurate. By modernizing the user interface, devices look and feel more like the personal devices that your employees use everyday, making operation more intuitive and easy-to-learn. Adding voice can also add convenience. For example, when an employee is using two hands to pick up an item in the warehouse, or when a forklift operator is driving, they can use a voice command and continue to work handsfree, safely.

For more information, you can read about some great strategies for Android migration here. To get an overview of the Android migration process and information on how Barcoding can help, head to our Android Resource Center.
