What IoT Can Be
Today’s video is from GS1 US, sharing some of the fascinating history and potential of the Internet of Everything.

In 2013, the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) became popularized. IoT includes devices from mobile phones, to smart speakers, to mobile scanning devices, anything that has a connection to a wireless network and transmit signals. However, IoT also includes even more. It gives us the power to connect items that don’t have a network connection by making them scannable, perfect for applications like inventory or shipping. Robert Tercek explains that the “advent of hybrid digital identity and physical product identity is going to change the world in some radical ways.”
