Should RFID Implants Be Required for Federal Assistance Programs?

The USDA has been considering the use of RFID chip implants to help reduce duplicate use of the Food Stamp Program (FSP) and other assistance programs. Currently, it is not that difficult to “cheat the system,” enabling people to receive more than their fair share of food stamps. With RFID chip implants, everything would be automatically updated and in order, ensuring that assistance programs were not abused.

Although this has not been implemented yet, it is causing a lot of concern—with people comparing this situation to scripture and other conspiracies.
