Honoring Notable Women: Rikki Jennings, Zebra Technologies

Written by Barcoding, Inc. | Mar 12, 2020

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Video of the Week post! Every Thursday, we are sharing a video on the latest and greatest in the supply chain industry from Barcoding, Inc. and our partners. If you missed last week’s video and post, you can find them here.

Supply Chain Solutions in Healthcare
As part of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we want to recognize the efforts of women making a difference in the supply chain industry. Rikki Jennings is the first-ever Chief Nursing Informatics Officer for Zebra. For her exceptional contributions, she was named one of Crain’s Notable Women in Healthcare.

Rikki Jennings’ job involves studying healthcare’s pain points in order to gain a better understanding of how companies can create technology solutions that make sense for the industry’s specific needs. This includes learning risks that nurses and doctors want to mitigate, communication between care teams, patient identification processes, inventory management requirements and issues, and much more.

“I work with our solution design teams as we enhance our product portfolio and create new products to ensure that what we are developing aligns with industry trends and customer needs,” says Jennings.

By going in-depth to determine what exactly the customer is looking for, Jennings helps us help healthcare providers and, most importantly, patients.
