Disney Adds RFID
If you’ve been to an amusement park, you know it can be annoying to carry cash, especially if you plan on going on any water rides. On the other hand, cash is convenient to have since not every vendor has the capability of taking cards.
In an effort to improve park visitors’ experience, Disney recently implemented an RFID system. Disney added RF sensors to their retail locations as well as park entrances. Now, park guests will be able to get a Fastpass or make purchases via their hotel key. By allowing guests to simply wave a card, it saves a lot of frustration about carrying and potentially losing cash on rides.
