Bi-State Display Card from Barcoding Inc.
We recently released the Bi-State Display Card, an updatable card that’s about half the size of a credit card and allows users to make text updates of up to ten digits without the use of any battery power. All this is possible through the use of RFID technology. When the display part of the card is near an RFID reader, the card will be updated with the most up-to-date information, instantly. The display uses thin-film technology that implements UHF Gen2 RFID for distance communication, in addition to HF RFID for power and bi-directional communications.
Imagine having a store gift card that could instantly display your updated balance, boarding passes or even a shelf price label that could instantly be updated? Even 2D barcodes could be incorporated into the card. The uses for the card are countless, especially since the card can be customized for virtually any business need.
