ARBOR M19922 19 Inch Medical Station for Nursing and Clinical Support

ARBOR Technology is one of the leading providers of embedded computing, and they have recently announced the launch of the M1922, which is a 19-inch fanless super slim medical station. It has already been widely adopted by a number of hospitals and clinics throughout the US and Europe. The M1922 comes as an upgrade to their previous medical station, the M1920, with better performance and configuration. The new version is powered by a 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-4402E 1.6 GHz processor, and it is being promoted as a medical terminal which is advanced, with the latest processing and graphics capabilities. The medical grade terminal is a perfect solution for a variety of clinical applications and critical hotspots including nursing care, monitoring, clinical diagnostics as well as PACS.

The company has been listening to feedback from prominent medical clinicians as part of the design process prior to manufacturing the M19922. It has a 19 inch 1280 x 1024 LCD display monitor complete with analog-resistive touch, DisplayPort technology enabling dual display viewing, and there is also the option of having an SDI (serial digital interface) connector which facilitates the transmission of digital video. The M19922 can handle complex graphical applications in 3D including nuclear scanners, magnetic resonance and X-ray, which is a great assistance to medical staff when it comes to diagnosing and monitoring patients.

It also has extensive support for periphals and I/O, which provides the flexibility to integrate with systems which are already in place, and also for interfacing with a variety of external equipment. The M1922 is connectable via WLAN, Bluetooth, gigabit Ethernet, NFC, RFID, and dual smart card inputs, as well as the option of a slim DVD-RW optical drive. IT has a panel with a rich I/O equipped with four USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, three separate RS-232 ports and a couple of RJ45 LAN jack inputs.

The M1922 Medical Station also supports a single expansion port. Anyone who is purchasing it can ask for a choice between an external battery to protect against power cuts, or they can request a PCIe x16 up to 25w. Although it has a huge display and comes equipped with a lot of features, it is only 59mm thick, meaning it can be easily mounted on the wall, on a desktop or attached to nursing carts.
