Fitting Room Assistant Network (FRAN)
Once inside the dressing room, the shopper can access a touch screen kiosk; complete with pictures of the clothes they are trying on, the kiosk allows them to maintain a dialog with the salesperson. If they needs a different size, color, or accessory, they simply make a request via the touch screen. The salesperson is alerted on the PDA allowing them to instantly respond. FeaturesFRAN consists of four modules: The Customer Kiosk: From within the dressing room, your customers are able to use this module to request additional sizes, colors, or matching items to try on. All information made available to your customers is personalized based on the items they are trying on. The Dressing Room Manager: Using a wireless PDA, this module is for store associates. Each time a new request is sent from the dressing room, the PDA will alert the store associate. The Control Center: Controls the flow of data between your corporate office and stores. Automated processes are in place so that all data transfer can take place in the middle of the night, or manually, if necessary. Also includes automated processes to monitor your dressing rooms and ensure that all kiosks are operational. The Reporting Center: Provides valuable information to both your stores and corporate office. All activity from the dressing rooms is collected and recorded to provide unique insights into both store and merchandise productivity. Examples of how this module will help provide valuable insights include:
BenefitsCustomer Results:
Reporting: The activity in dressing rooms can also provide new insights on store and merchandise performance. You can now track your dressing room conversion rates:
Salesperson Responsiveness: This technology can also track the length of time between a shopper’s request, and the time an item is checked into the dressing room. Unresponsive salespersons can mean a major problem for a company, and this data can be useful in developing training applications for underperforming sales personnel as well as recognizing top performers.
Theft Deterrent: With the registration of each item being taken into the dressing rooms, customers are held accountable for the merchandise, which ultimately lowers the theft rate.
Forestall Markdowns: Dressing rooms are a valuable source of primary data, as garments are scanned in, tried on, and later purchased or returned to stock. Armed with early warning signals, of poor fitting or poor quality items, you can bring in your supplier or designer to help fix the problem.
In Store Marketing: The touch-screen kiosks are an ideal platform to deliver marketing communication, unobtrusive, in the privacy of dressing room, employing streaming video and audio. If a shopper was considering buying a Ralph Lauren outfit, they could hear a promotional ad from the designer as why he designed the collection and its intended use.
