Barcoding Inc. Sponsors Mix 106.5 Radio-a-thon to help John's Hopkins Children's Center
Barcoding Inc. founder and President, Jay Steinmetz, threw a New Year's Eve bash promising proceeds to benefit Johns Hopkins Hospital. The yearly benefit is Barcoding Inc.'s way of contributing to the Baltimore community. The company was created here in 1998. "We are going to donate the money during the John's Hopkins radio-a-thon in order to increase its value," said Steinmetz." We know that there are opportunities during the 106.5 fundraiser when pledges are doubled by corporate sponsors, and we hoped our donation would increase the number of pledges." The money was raised through ticket sales, private gifts and a Barcoding Inc. corporate contribution at the New Year's Eve party held at Kiss Cafe. Steinmetz is committed to supporting the Baltimore community and notes that Johns Hopkins Hospital is a Baltimore institution. "We hope to be able to increase our pledge each year. I also hope this idea catches on with other local tech companies. We live in a city that supports us - so we should support it as well." This is the fifth straight year that Barcoding has sponsored a Power Hour for the radio-a-thon. Barcoding, Inc. installs and integrates wireless barcode systems utilizing handheld portable devices, and provides wireless solutions to many companies in the manufacturing, distribution and warehousing industries. The company is surging forward in the technology world as an integrator of barcode-based data capture and wireless communications systems and equipment. About Barcoding Inc.
