Product Summary:

Traditionally, RF Wireless 5250/3270 and VT terminal emulation products and solutions have been based on using software that resides on the wireless device itself or on an intermediary gateway. The software provides an interface for application display sessions to connect to a generic Telnet service on a target host computer. The problem with this approach is that the environment that the terminal emulation software must operate within is much less reliable than the host computer it is connecting to (wireless network outages, out of radio range conditions, device specific issues like dead batteries, etc.).

All terminal emulation is served and managed on the host computer.
