Barcoding Inc. Named One of Maryland’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies for Fifth Straight Year in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program

Attributes its 159 Percent Revenue Growth to a Dedicated Sales Team

Baltimore MD- Thursday, October 11, 2007 –Barcoding, Inc. today announced that it ranked Number 33 on Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 50 Program for Maryland, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the state by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2002–2006.

Barcoding, Inc.’s CEO, Jay Steinmetz credits a refined and dedicated sales team with the company’s 159% revenue growth over the past five years. Steinmetz stated, “Our sales department has become more experienced and efficient, while continuing to provide outstanding customer service. This has resulted in consistent, remarkable growth. To qualify for the Technology Fast 50 in Maryland, companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002, and current year operating revenues of at least $5 million, be headquartered in North America, and own proprietary technology or intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues. Companies can also allocate a significant percentage of revenues to the research and development of technology, but using other companies’ technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
