Barcoding Inc. Contributes to the Maryland Coastal Bay's 8th Annual Osprey Sprint TriathlonGroups' Mission is to have clean water in the back bays behind

Baltimore, MD, October 19, 2007- Barcoding Inc., a leader in Automated Data Collection Solutions, helped sponsor the Maryland Coastal Bay’s 8th Annual Osprey Sprint Triathlon. This years’ race, held October 6th, played host to 410 racers and 500 spectators, all descending on Public Landing to help raise more than $30,000.
The generosity of local residents and businesses spilled into Sunday when the Fager's Island 2nd Annual Charity Cookout to Benefit Coastal Bays brought in close to $20,000. This included more than $4,500 from a $10 entrance donation, food and drink sales (donated by Fager's) and the over $13,000 brought in from live and silent auctions at the event.
Auction items included a boatlift and¬ its installation donated by Hi Tide Marine Construction and an off-shore fishing trip on the private vessel Pumpin' Hard donated by Danny Burt and Sunset Marina.
Triathlon contributors included Morgan Stanley, M&T Bank, Bahia Marina, Acre Mortgage, Ocean City Greene Turtle, OC Wasabi, Ocean City Chiropractic Clinic, Lower Shore Masonry, WLW Accounting, Phillips by the Sea, Beth Gismondi at Allstate Insurance, along with Barcoding Inc.

The Maryland Coastal Bays Program has worked for more than 10 years on efforts to protect and manage the back bays behind Ocean City and Assateague. The program is currently involved in a number of land conservation efforts and is leading a tri-state effort to assist Delaware and Virginia in planning for a greener shore in the future.
