Battery Optimization Software eliminates the possibility of a battery running out of power, helping your workers stay online and working.

How Does it Work?

This software allows a portable wireless Windows CE or Pocket PC device to quietly communicate to a central computer (server) a distress signal when the battery is low. The central computer, aka "supervisor," can be a PC or a portable device held by the supervisor.

This application runs as a background task on the handheld, with an icon displayed on the "Today Screen" of the Pocket PC device. Other applications can run in the foreground like a terminal emulation application or a custom application.

The current implementation of the software reports on several battery related metrics and transmits them intermittently to the server. These metrics could then be used to determine that a device is dying, allowing the supervisor to go and fix the problem or replace the hand held without a disruption of work.

Why Do I Need This?

The purpose of notifying the supervisor is so that he or she can seamlessly walk up to a working operator and replace that operator's batteries without causing that operator to stop working for more than 30 seconds. If you add up worker time due to issues like this it is extensive and costly to big operations.
