MEDCP - Mobile Emergency Data Collection Platform

MEDCP Mobile Computer MEDCP (Mobile Emergency Data Collection Platform) provides real-time, portable data collection and wireless communication of test equipment data readings for emergency incident response. First responders such as DHS, NTSB, NEMA and state EMT's use our mobile computer system to collect readings from any serial test device, append GPS location, and transmit data via wide area network (such as GPRS or CDMA) to a command post or headquarters. The system is applicable to bio-terrorism defense, as well as other types of emergency response.

MEDCP combines several technologies that bring lab test capabilities to the incident site on a handheld device. These technologies include on-board global positioning (GPS), wide area network (WAN) communications, generic serial interface to all specialized test equipment and barcode scanning. Data readings from monitoring equipment (biological, chemical and radiological detectors, medical diagnostic equipment) are electronically captured by MEDCP, correlated with absolute GPS locations, and submitted to the agency central server for real-time analysis. This allows headquarters analysts to create 'hot-zone' maps and make critical decisions for public safety in real-time mode.

The system integrates with multiple software packages. We offer an MT137 form, a generic triage form, custom forms designed for your specific needs, as well as GPS mapping software from ESRI ArcPad. The user can enter data using the mobile computer's keypad, stylus, or barcode reader.
