QR Codes Appear at Bus Stops in Seoul

If you’ve ever taken public transportation, then you know how frustrating it can be when waiting for your bus/train/etc. and not knowing when it will arrive.

In Seoul, South Korea, QR codes are being used at bus stops in the metropolitan are in order to allow passengers to check exactly when the bus they are waiting for will arrive. Unique QR codes will be placed at each stop, allowing those waiting for a bus to access information via their mobile phones in real time.

In addition to seeing where the bus is and how long it will take to get to the stop, passengers will also be able to view route schedules, making transportation more efficient and accurate.

Personally, I think it would be great to have something like this in the US… it is so frustrating when buses are not on-time and you have no idea when they will arrive!
