One Million Magellans Sold

Recently, we discussed Datalogic’s quest to sell one million Magellan barcode scanners. I’m happy to announce the Datalogic completed their goal on April 30, 2010 at 11:14 am PST.

Datalogic has been selling the Magellan for sixteen years, and although it has morphed into eight different models, the Magellan bi-optic scanner has been a solid choice through the years for the AIDC industry. While this milestone is great news for Datalogic, it truly shows how much the AIDC industry has continued to expand throughout the years.

In order to celebrate its milestone, the Datalogic Magellan will be going on a “Thanks a Million” world tour, starting on May 10th, 2010 at FMI in Las Vegas, Nevada USA. From there, the Magellan will embark on a global trip, partaking in a variety of different tradeshows and ultimately ending up in Bali, Indonesia. To see all of the locations that the Magellan will travel to, learn more on the events facebook page.
