SXSW: Barcoding Parties with a Purpose with Front Gate Tickets

Two members of Barcoding’s sales team traveled to Austin, Texas, for an unconventional business trip – Becky Bush, director of sales, and Zach Lander-Portnoy, sales representative, partied for a purpose while assisting Front Gate Tickets with its 9th Annual Morning After Party on March 20.

Held in conjunction with the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, the Morning After Party raises awareness for Kids in a New Groove – an Austin-based charity that provides children in foster care with mentorship, instruments and music lessons. Front Gate, an Austin-based alternative ticketing service, has been a valued Barcoding client since 2010.

The six-hour event, which took place outside of Front Gate Tickets’ office in Austin’s Hip Strip area, featured live bands, food and drinks. It fittingly kicked off with a performance by Kids in a New Groove students, who showcased their newfound musical skills. The youthful opening act got the crowd of 200 people grooving before an entertaining lineup of acts such as Jason Isbell, Ryan Bingham, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Calliope Musicals, J. Roddy and Delta Spirit hit the stage. Rain showers showed up as an unwanted guest halfway through the party, but that didn’t dampen the festive mood.

Supporting and attending Front Gate Tickets’ event highlights Barcoding’s ongoing dedication to our partners and clients– beyond the business realm. It is always important for Barcoding to give back to the community, whether it’s our own, or that of our clients. We had a great time with Front Gate and hope to support the Morning After Party again next year.
