QR Codes in Education
Recently, I’ve read about a lot of different hypotheses about how QR codes could/should be used in education. However, despite the large amount of ideas generated on this topic, it’s rare to find scenarios in which QR codes are actually implemented in an educational environment. Then, I came across a teachers’ blog who writes on how he frequently uses QR codes in the classroom, particularly, gym class. Watch the video below to see his QR code Skeleton lesson in action.
While many schools continue to ban the use of mobile devices, there are some teachers such as Mr. Robbo who not only encourage them, but require them, even helping students set up the QR readers on their phones! I think QR codes are an excellent way to create interactive lesson plans that can truly relate to students.
